Advanced Orthopedic/Medical Massage Course Descriptions
Migraine and Muscle Contraction Headache treatments: This new course provides effective treatment methods for migraine pain and muscle contraction headache. It also provides an in depth discussion on types of migraines and the physical differences between vasoconstriction vs vasodilation head pain. COURSE OFFERED: TBA
Conditions of the Lower Arm and Hand: The course will teach tests and treatments for carpal tunnel syndrome, golfer’s elbow, and tennis elbow.

Cervical Neck Pain: also called The 42 lb head because much of the work deals with problems associated with the forward head.
Course Offered: TBA
Shoulder Impingement: will focus on treatments for frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, and thoracic outlet syndrome.

SI Joint Dysfunction I: These courses will focus on tests that define muscle groups involved in low back pain and therapeutic techniques that will relieve it. They also focus on effective therapy for damaged ligaments that bind the sacrum and hip bone. SJ Joint Dysfunction I and II can be taken in any order

Conditions of the Lower Leg and Foot: This course teaches treatments for plantar fasciitis, shin splints, bone stress fractures, drop foot, hammer toes, ankle sprain, and bunions.

Pelvic rotation and upslips: This course focuses on abnormal hip flexor strains, which can pull the pelvis into anterior rotation, causing pain in the lower back. Students will learn tests for this condition and treatment methods that relieve the pain.

Conditions of the Upper Leg and Knee: This new course focuses on treatments for knee pain and sports injuries to the leg.

Spine Dysfunction: This new course focuses on treatments for Curvature of the spine, Kyphosis, Lordosis and Scoliosis.
